Marwan leads Introspect Capital’s fundamental research and covers companies in the non-financial sectors.

Marwan graduated with a Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering from the American University of Beirut in 2007. However, Marwan’s practice as an engineer was limited to one summer internship where he laboured in 50-degree (Celsius) weather, in the desert of Ras Laffan, Qatar. The internship pushed Marwan to reconsider his chosen career path and upon graduation, he switched gears to management consulting, while pursuing an MBA from the Lebanese American University.

In 2010, Marwan joined Arqaam Capital as a sell-side analyst, but switched to their asset management department less than a year later. On the buy-side, Marwan spent most of his time working on the Arqaam Value Fund where he performed a range of investment roles, including analyst, co-portfolio manager and lead portfolio manager.

Marwan joined Introspect Capital as a founding partner in late 2017. In recent years, Marwan has had the chance to utilize his engineering background, building model train sets and tracks with his four-year old son, Joud. Marwan also moonlights as a stand-up comedian, with Joud as his first, and typically only, audience member.
